Dear Diary...
The kids are back in school and I am welcoming back the routine of life. With the kids being in school I want to get back into routine of my own. So, I am going to dedicate the next year to working on me! I need to get healthier, stronger and more confident. I read this great book Fat Resistance Diet. I can relate a lot to the book and think that I might be dealing with a leptin resistance issue. I am on another journey to try to eat healthier. I tried to weight myself to see where I am starting at but my scale isn't working. What I will do is take measurements of my neck, arms, chest, waist, hips, thighs and calves so I can keep track of how many inches I am losing. This could be a good thing because I tend to sabotage myself when I am doing well and losing weight. We'll see if if works. I am going to be working out quite a bit too. On the show Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss edition, Chris Powell has the contestants workout for 2-4 hours a day. Well, I am going to start out with two hours and work my way up to four. I am planning doing a hour of swimming in the wee hours (4:30am) and then do another workout with Hayden after school. With this kind of regimen, I should see results... I just need to work on my head not getting in the way of what I want and need.
